Patek Phillipe

Patek Philippe is the last family-owned Swiss luxury watch manufacturer located in Canton of Geneva and the Vallée de Joux. This brand is full of creative, unique and luxurious designs of watches for both men and women. Patek Philippe is focused on the tradition of innovation and has been crowded by more than a hundred patents. 

Patek, Czapek & Cie was founded in 1839 by Polish watchmaker Antoine Norbert de Patek and his Czech-born Polish partner François Czapek. The founders separated after some time and the company was liquidated. On May 1, 1845, Czapek & Cie was founded with Czapek’s new partner, Juliusz Gruzewski. Patek was joined by watchmaker Adrien Philippe who was the inventor of the keyless winding mechanism. Together they founded Patek & Cie, which was soon changed to Patek, Philippe & Cie. In 1851, Queen Victoria acquired the world’s first keyless watch at the Great Exhibition in London. In 1868, the first Swiss wristwatch was created for Countess Koscowicz of Hungary. Patek Philippe is now considered to be one of the most prestigious watch manufacturers in the world. 

Patek Philippe crafted the Grandmaster Chime Ref. 5175 as a celebration of the company’s 175th anniversary. This watch is constructed with 1580 parts and includes grande and petite sonnerie, a minute repeater, a perpetual calendar, two patented global debuts: an acoustic alarm that sounds the alarm time and a date repeater. This stunning watch has a hand-engraved rose gold case and only 7 pieces were made. One of them can be seen in the Patek Philippe museum.

Rolex

Rolex is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer also based in Geneva. This brand is known for its appearance in world-known movies and associations with James Bond.

Wilsdorf and Davis was founded in London in 1905 by Alfred Davis and his brother-in-law Hans Wilsdorf. This company was focusing on wristwatches, which weren’t worn at that time. In 1908, Wilsdorf registered the new brand trademark “Rolex” and opened an office in Switzerland. Rolex was in 1914 awarded a Class A precision certificate, which was normally granted to marine chronometers. The company’s name changed in 1920 to Rolex S.A. In 1926, Rolex created the first waterproof and dustproof watch. This type was named “Oyster”. Rolex is these days considered to be the world’s most widely recognized watch brand.

Omega SA is a luxury watch manufacturer located in Biel, Switzerland. Omega SA has always been connected with precision, innovation, pioneering and luxury. Omega SA is also world-known for its appearance in James Bond movies since 1995. Other famous Omega wearers include John F. Kennedy, George Clooney, Buzz Aldrin, Elvis Presley, Prince William, Michael Phelps and Thomas Stafford.

Omega was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt with the name La Generale Watch Co. In 1903, the name changed to Louis Brandt et Frére – Omega Watch & Co, and in 1982, the name finally changed to the final state – Omega SA, while becoming a subsidiary under the Swiss Swatch Group. The company was run under the control of Louis Brandt et Frére’s sons, Louis-Paul and César, who helped the company expand its production and fame. Since 1965, the Omega line Speedmaster has been worn on many NASA’s missions, including the moon landings. Since 1932, Omega also served as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games.

The Seamaster line has been the most popular Omega’s line since its production in 1948. This line’s design is purely based on designs for the British Royal Navy at the end of the Second World War. This line was the go-to line for James Bond in all-new James Bond movies. For example, the Seamaster Diver 300M was seen in GoldenEye on Pierce Brosnan’s wrist and in Casion Royal on Daniel Craig. 

TAG Heuer

TAG Hauer is a Swiss luxury watchmaker company designing and producing watches and other fashion accessories. The name TAG stands for “Techniques d’Avant Garde” TAG Heuer is known for its innovative thinking in the case of chronographs and other important innovations in the world of watchmaking. Because of its precision chronographs, TAG Heuer has been the official timekeeper for Formula 1 racing for years. Those chronographs can measure up to 1/100th of a second. 

The company was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland, with the name Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG. In 1882, Edouard Heuer patented his first chronograph and, in 1887, patented the “oscillating pinion”, which is still used till this day by watchmakers of mechanical chronographs. In 1911, he received a patent for the “Time of Trip”, the first dashboard chronograph. In 1914, the company introduced its first wrist chronograph. In 1985, TAG Group (a holding company based in Luxembourg City) purchased a majority stake in the company, forming TAG Heuer, and in 1999, LVMH bought nearly 100% of this company.

This Aquaracer collection is specially designed for divers – it features a 12-facet bezel with six studs for easy manipulation while wearing gloves, a waterproof case, which will protect the inside mechanism, and other interesting features. It wouldn’t be an aqua-themed watch without a navy-blue design, complete with a stainless steel case and band.  

Breitling SA

Breitling is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Grenchen, Switzerland. The company is world-known for its precision chronometers made for aircraft pilots and divers. Each piece features either a calibre B01 or calibre B04 movement. 

The company was founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier. Léon Breitling was a watchmaker focused on crafting timeless luxury watches and intelligent measuring tools. In 1889, he received a patent for a simplified model of a chronograph, which was different from others because of its simple and sleek design, easy manufacturing process and low maintenance. In 1969, the company invented the first self-winding chronograph, which was a key to technical development. 

Breitling Navitimer 01 is Breitling’s most famous and popular timeless watch piece. This piece was launched in the 1950s and is still admired all over the world.
