At the end of June, Tiffany & Co. revealed a new collab with Kendrick Lamar – an American rapper and songwriter. Lamar and his collaborator Dave Free commissioned Tiffany to create a custom crown made out of titanium and pavé diamonds. Tiffany’s skilled craftsman at the brand’s workshop in New York created this thorny masterpiece at the brand’s workshop in New York for nearly 10 months.
This art piece represents and honours Tiffany’s latest partnership and connects the world of art with the skills of designers and artisans. For Kendrick, the “Crown of Thorns” the crown holds a respect for artists who came before him and is an affirmation of Lamar’s influence in the music world. On June 26th, 2022, Kendrick wore this crow during his performance on Glastonbury.
