Blancpain, a Swiss prestige watchmaker and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, are working together to protect 30% of the ocean around the globe by 2030. The organisations revealed their upcoming teamwork at the 9th Annual World Ocean Summit to the world’s top leaders from business, science, and governmental and non-profit sectors.

Multi-million-dollar enterprise is the citizen science program named Adopt the Blue, in which more than 6,000 PADI dive centres and resorts will create the largest marine protected area on the planet.

Also, Blancpain and PADI formed Blancpain/PADI Community Grant, funding conservations in local communities. The grants will help both ocean preservation as well as an indigenous community to bring good for humanity and the ocean.
