Back up your photos
After your big day you have a lot of unforgettable memories and experiences with family and friends captured in beautiful photos by your photographer. Now what to do with them? Often newlyweds leave the photos sitting in a folder on their computer, where they forget about them and rarely return to them. That’s why we’ve put together some tips on what to do with your wedding photos.
Wedding Photo Book
A photo book is probably the most popular way to display your wedding photos. They are very simple and quick to make because you can create everything on your computer. Often, templates will also help you, so you don’t have to think hard about how to position your photos and captions. A wedding photo book is a great way to revisit photos often or to show beautiful experiences to family and friends. At the same time, you can print several copies and give them to loved ones as a gift.
Get started on creating your photo album
For those who like to spend time on creative activities, a wedding album is perfect. You will be laughing, maybe even crying a little while making the photo album. It’s simply the perfect date night idea. Although a photo album takes longer than a photo book, on the other hand you can design it completely on your own and add a few little details from the big day. For example, try adding dried flowers from your wedding bouquet, paste wedding invitations and also photos from the photo booth. It can be anything that made your wedding unique. A wedding photo album is more personal than a photo book, so the extra hours spent on gluing photos is definitely worth it.
How to create a wedding photo album
- choose your favorite wedding photos – choose lots of them so you have a large selection
- upload your photos to be printed – choose different formats so that each page is different from the last
- get a photo album, photo mounting corners, washi tapes or photo glue and some stickers
- when everything arrives, try to arrange your photos and other bits and pieces on each page to plan everything out (you can find inspiration on Pinterest for example)
- when you’re happy with your plan, start gluing
- add handwritten labels, drawings and decorative stickers
- then enjoy and show off your creation to your friends
Give photos as a present
A wedding wouldn’t be the same without your loved ones. Make them happy after the wedding and print photos for them too. Choose a few of your favorite group photos and gift them to your family and friends. You definitely won’t go wrong with classic framed photos, but at the same time, you can also try more other photo products like photo magnets or photostrips.
Display your photos on the wall
You can keep lots of photos in your photo book and photo album and look at them once in a while, but some photos deserve to be seen all the time. A photo of your first kiss, a portrait from your newlywed shoot or even a cake cutting. These unique experiences can be printed as wall art prints and displayed on your wall, shelf or any cabinet. It can be a single photo, but you can also create an entire photo gallery.
TIP: If you can’t decide what photo to choose for your wall art, try photo collage. Choose a collage with three or five photos, or record all your beautiful memories in a collage with a larger number of photos (perhaps 70 photos).Â
