The Aporia necklace by Cartier

Cartier has presented its latest artwork – the Aporia necklace. This nature-inspired abstract necklace took 427 hours to finish due to the butterfly’s wing complexity, with each stone cut and placed individually to capture the beauty of this art piece. Cartier has chosen 2 contrasting colours from its rich colour palette for this necklace – red and black. Gemstones presenting this colour – onyx and rubellite were the gems of choice.

About 127 geometrical motifs inspired by butterfly wings were combined to represent nature’s gift in a precise geometry.
